William D. Olson was born in Storm Lake, Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in Political Science in 1975, his Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California in 1977 and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa in 1981.
Bill served on Active Duty with the U.S. Army as a Quartermaster Corps officer for a period of eleven years, with service in Southeast Asia, Europe and the continental United States.
Bill is engaged in the general practice of law, including but not limited to corporate, business, estate planning, wills and probate, trusts and estates, real estate and personal injury law.
Bill has been admitted to the State Bar of Iowa, the United States District Court Southern District of Iowa, the United States District Court Northern District of Iowa and the United States Supreme Court.
Bill is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the National Lawyers Association.
