Donald J. Charnetski is originally from Toronto, Canada. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1971 and his law degree with distinction from the University of Iowa in 1975.

Don is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Don is engaged in the general practice of law including but not limited to corporate, business, wills and probate, trusts and estates, estate planning, real estate law and family law.

When not practicing law, Don enjoys racing vintage sports cars, offshore sailboats and skiing. He is a member of the National Ski Patrol and, in addition to actively patrolling, serves as legal advisor to the Central Division of the National Ski Patrol.
