Charles M.
Manly
was born and educated in Grinnell. He graduated from Grinnell
High School in 1945, attended Drake University and graduated
from Drake Law School in 1951. Mr. Manly has been very active
in all aspects of the judiciary in Iowa. His accomplishments
include: member of the Poweshiek County Bar, Iowa State Bar,
American Bar Association of Trial Lawyers of America,
Association of Trial Lawyers of Iowa, and Iowa Academy of Trial
Lawyers. Mr. Manly worked as the City Attorney of Grinnell for
30+ years and served on the nominating commission for both the
Eighth Judicial District Court and Iowa Supreme Court. He also
served on several committees of the Iowa State Bar and is a past
President of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association.
